The leader of the Forqan group was born in the Duzan village of Aligudarz, 1951 and as his ID cart shows in 1959. His father was the shepherd Hassan. He spent his childhood in a poor and populated family. His primary and secondary education was in his home village. And due to his religious tendencies before completing the high school he left for the religious school of Khansar. After a short while he left for Qom. One year later he went to Tehran and sojourned in chehel sotun school of Bazar jame mosque and Hajj sheikh AbdolHossein’s school. He was a student of religious teachings and at the same time embarked on the study of different interpretations of Islam and held sessions for the interpretation of Koran in AlHadi, Fatemieh Khazaneh, Rezvan, Sheikh Hadi, and Khamse mosques. Here he succeeded to exercise influence on some people who played roles in the formation of Forqan and its causes. They began to work with the Kahafis, 1976 and then under their own name the Forqan. Gudarzi left the Hajj Sheikh AbdolHossein School and parted with religious student’s robe. His group started his activities officially in 1977 and its members were Said Vahed, Mohsen Siahpush, Hamid Niknam, Ali Assadi and Bahram Teimuri. Their first declaration was on the death of Dr. Ali Sahriati.
The grounds for the frustration of the Forqan group were the joint declaration of Ayatollah Motahhri and Mehdi Bazargan on the revision of Dr. Shariati’s teachings. As a result they issued a declaration and threatened the opponents of Shariati’ ideas. They presented the strategy of armed struggle. Their first attempt was on major general Qarani. The next personality was Ayatollah Motahhari who actually predicted this act before. This group was engaged at least in twenty assassinations. Many of the targets were wounded including Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, Ayatollah AbdorRahim Rabbani Shirazi, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and Razi Shirazi. Ayatollah Dr. Mofatteh, Ayatollah Qazi Tabatabai and Hajj Mohammad Tarkhani lost their lives. The Organization of Combatants of Islamic Revolution (mojahedin enghelab eslami) began to identify, pursue and prosecute the members of this group. Akbar Gudarzi and Hassan Oqurlu were rounded up in their secret place in Jamalzadeh Street, Jan. 8th, 1980. Six of the detainees were condemned to execution and the rest were given life sentences. Akbar Gudarzi, Said Merat, Ali Hatami, Mohammad Mottaheddi, Hassan Oqurlu, Abbas Asgari and AliReza ShahbabaBeik were executed in May 24th, 1981.
Akbar Gudarzi was a typical corruptor.
